Privacy Policy
Last updated: November 7, 2026
This policy explains what happens to your information when you visit oanderson.net. The short version: there are no forms, accounts, or newsletters on this site. The only optional data collection is Google Analytics, and it runs only if you accept it.
Who is responsible
This site is run by Anderson Oliveira, based in Alberta, Canada, who is responsible for the personal information collected through it. Neo Omni Solutions Inc. (Calgary, Alberta, Canada) develops, hosts and maintains this site and manages its Google Analytics account on his behalf. Privacy requests can be sent to , which handles them on behalf of Anderson Oliveira. The Privacy Officer, Neo Omni Solutions Inc., answers those requests.
What is collected and how
Server logs. Like every website, the server that delivers these pages records basic technical information for each request: your IP address, the date and time, the page requested, your browser and device type, and the page that referred you. This happens automatically.
Analytics (only if you accept). If you click “Accept” on the cookie banner, the site loads Google Analytics 4. It sets cookies in your browser (named _ga and _ga_ followed by an identifier) and sends Google information about your visit: pages viewed, time on page, approximate location derived from your IP address, the referring site, and your browser, device, and screen. If you decline or ignore the banner, Google Analytics is not loaded.
Your cookie choice. When you click “Accept” or “Decline”, the site stores your answer in your browser’s local storage under the key cookie-consent, so the banner does not ask again on every page. It stays on your device and is not sent to anyone.
Logos on the contact page. The contact page displays logos loaded directly from neoomni.com and cbrt.ca. Loading them sends your IP address and browser information to those sites’ servers.
Links to other sites. Links to LinkedIn, GitHub, YouTube, Neo Omni, and other sites take you to services with their own privacy policies. Nothing is shared with them until you click. If you contact me through LinkedIn or through the Neo Omni contact form, that information is handled under those sites’ policies.
Why it is used
- Server logs: to deliver the site, keep it secure, and diagnose problems.
- Analytics: to understand how visitors find and use the site so it can be improved. This happens only with your consent, and you can withdraw it at any time.
- Cookie choice: to remember your answer to the banner.
- Logos: to display the site as designed.
The information is not used to identify you personally, not used for advertising, and not sold.
Who it is shared with
- Neo Omni Solutions Inc. develops, hosts and maintains this site and manages its Google Analytics account on behalf of Anderson Oliveira.
- Hostinger provides the servers that host the site and keeps the server logs.
- Google provides Google Analytics (only if you accept).
- neoomni.com and cbrt.ca receive the basic request information described above when the contact page loads their logos.
Google’s servers are located in the United States and other countries, and Hostinger’s may be outside Canada. Information processed by these providers may therefore be stored in another country and be subject to that country’s laws, including access by its authorities.
How long it is kept
- Google Analytics: visit data is kept for 14 months, then deleted automatically by Google. The
_gacookies expire after up to 2 years unless you delete them sooner. - Server logs: kept by Hostinger for a limited period under its own retention practices.
- Cookie choice: stays in your browser until you clear it or click “Cookie preferences”.
Your choices and rights
You can:
- Change your cookie choice at any time with the “Cookie preferences” button in the bar at the bottom of every page. Choosing “Decline” after accepting stops analytics and removes the Google Analytics cookies the site can reach.
- Ask what personal information about you is held, and ask for it to be corrected or deleted, by writing to the contact above. Because analytics data is not linked to your name, it may not be possible to find records about a specific person.
- Block cookies or clear local storage in your browser settings.
If you are not satisfied with the answer, you can complain to the Office of the Information and Privacy Commissioner of Alberta or the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.
This site does not sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising.
Children
This site is meant for a general adult audience and does not knowingly collect information from children.
Changes to this policy
If what the site collects changes, this page will be updated and the date at the top will change.
